Equatel Telecommunications Limited is pioneering a novel public payphone technology that works seamlessly on GSM frequencies. A Payphone that operates like a cell phone on any cellular network, the public telephone developed by Equatel accepts both pre-paid and ‘pay-as-you-go’ (PAYG) SIM cards that are both rechargeable and personalized.

Towards this end, Equatel is partnering with focused and progressive organizations and establishments towards providing a last mile telecoms solution to the teeming population of Nigerians who are yet to join the telecommunications revolution.
